With the transfer window fast closing in Europe, a source tells Metro that Abang will be signing a loan deal with a Danish top-flite club, turning down stronger interest and offers from Switzerland and Turkey. After last year’s rousing success, Abang has yet to score in eight appearances so far this year, equating to just 221 minutes on the field. Last year he had four goals and an assist in 17 appearances including three starts for the Red Bulls. The loan deal does not have an option to buy the source said, meaning that Abang will return to the Red Bulls when the 12-month loan is completed.
