The newly-appointed Kozhikode District Police Chief, K. Sanjay Kumar Gurudin, a cybersecurity specialist, has served as police chief in five districts of the State. “I have communicated to the Director General of Police about taking charge in Kozhikode city. Mr. Gurudin was a Chevening fellow in cybersecurity at Cranfield University, the United Kingdom, and has conducted awareness classes in about 150 schools in the State. He was also appointed State Nodal Officer of ‘Kid Glove’, a State government programme aimed at creating cybersecurity awareness among students, parents and teachers. Mr. Gurudin, who hails from Uttar Pradesh, began his career as ASP, Kollam, and served as District Police Chief in Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Kasaragod, Thiruvananthapuram City and Kannur.
