MANILA, Philippines – An American national was found dead on Thursday morning inside an isolation room of the Bureau of Immigration (BI) Detention Center inside Camp Bagong Diwa, Tagug City. Police said Abacia did not mins St. Cyr and left the isolation room to continue serving the other detainees their breakfasts. At about 7:35 a.m., after serving the other detainees, Abacia informed security guard Mario Paelan about St. Cyr. Paellan then went to St. Cyr’s room and confirmed that the American was already dead. Paelan then informed the detention center warden.
