SUBIC, Zambales – A man, carrying loaded weapons, was arrested at a Commission on Elections (Comelec) checkpoint on Friday night (Feb. 1) along the national highway of Barangay (village) Mangan-vaca here. Diosdado Cervantes, 36, welder, and a resident of Sitio Baltao, Barangay Calapandayan, was driving a motorcycle while concealing a caliber .45 handgun with 9-mm firearm, both with magazines filled with live ammunition. ADVERTISEMENTThe police did not say whether Cervantes had tried to explain why he was heavily armed as he roamed the streets.
