Evil Dead, American Gods is not a show that needs to deliver on the kind of ratings Nielsen tracks. Now, another show of this type has come along, and its name is American Gods. American Gods is everything Hannibal wanted to be, but certain standards and practices would never allow. However, American Gods has an ability to “go there.” It can push the envelope well passed the point of no return the best of ways. To say American Gods brings something “fresh” to the table feels like a stretch.
