The American College of Cardiology, ACC, launched a cardiac care programme in India in the Capital on Friday. The program promises to unfold new initiatives — such as conduct research and establishing registries in India — for Indian patients suffering from various heart ailments. The program, which will be carried out in collaboration with an Indian partner, will look to enhance the care of patients with complex cardiovascular disease in Indian hospitals by standardising and enhancing healthcare delivery. “Cardiovascular disease is one of the leading causes of death and disability in India. The program is transforming care and will look to help improve heart health by engaging different communities and the global health community to increase awareness and prevention of heart disease in ways that impact patients.
