E-commerce and mobile buying have been climbing steadily for years, but Cyber Week 2017 officially shattered records, setting a new bar for online selling and shopping, especially for mobile. Thanksgiving Day enjoyed the highest year-over-year GMV increase, but Cyber Monday was the most popular [Cyber Week] day for buying. BigCommerce also noted some Cyber Week trends according to specific technologies. iPhones users shelled out 7% more during Cyber Week compared to Android users. Except for Cyber Monday where 57% of sales were done via desktops with people at work, mobile was the primary purchase device for Cyber Week.
