So it’s worth pausing to ask: Are public-private partnerships really worthwhile? Public-private partnerships bring multi-sector stakeholders together to solve complex problems at scale. But despite the trendiness of this approach, we haven’t yet figured out how to do public-private partnerships effectively. Here’s how it played out in my own experience, building a public-private partnership to help smallholder farmers overcome a devastating crisis.
