Prime time for Amazon Prime seems to be creating some delivery issues for the online giant. New reports have surfaced over the past few days that Amazon’s delivery track record is not all it’s cracked up to be this holiday season and that the company’s fabled two-day Prime service may be…well, past its prime. Recode reports that social media sites lit up with complaints from customers about delivery delays after Amazon posted a laudatory message about its business this holiday season. For Amazon, this year marks the first Christmas season it will go without FedEx as a delivery service, having pulled its ground business from them earlier this year. Amazon is continuing to use both UPS and the post office even as it builds up its own Amazon logistics in-house delivery service through massive investments in ground transit vehicles.
