The Amar Ekushey Book Fair is set to open on February 26, but organizers will not set up any pavilions this year to accommodate over 300 participating publishers. Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is scheduled to inaugurate the book fair at 2pm on the day. The decision was made Sunday night at a meeting of the Bangladesh Book Publishers and Sellers Association (BAPUS) leaders, held at the Bangla Academy. It was decided that no pavilion will be included in Amar Ekushey Book Fair 2026. Earlier, the Minister and State Minister for Cultural Affairs had announced a complete waiver of stall fees for the fair.
