All six party MPs will quit in June: Jagan

more-inAll six MPs of the YSR Congress Party will resign at the end of the next Assembly session in June if Special Category Status (SCS) was not granted to Andhra Pradesh by then, said party president and Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly Y.S. In an informal chat with reporters in the Assembly lobbies here, Mr. Jagan said that his party planned to highlight denial of SCS and the resignations would trigger a debate at the national level. The party felt it should act after the Telugu Desam government completed three years in office. Mr. Jagan said it was high time that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu made all the 21 MLAs who crossed over from the YSRCP to the TDP resign and got them elected under his party banner. Eighty per cent of all the major irrigation projects were completed during the reign of Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy and the TDP and Mr. Naidu were taking credit for their completion.
