The Kenha manager overseeing the tarmacking of Nuno-Modogashe road says all community objections, including compensation, have been resolved. The community last week requested the national government to suspend the project until their problems are resolved. Makau said the committee that met the Kenha director in Nairobi was comprised of MCAs, former councilors, chiefs and elders. It slammed the Kenya National Highway Authority for failing to involve them in a meeting that was to resolve all pending issues. The project manager, who identified himself only as Makau, told the Star on phone the land where the contractor set up camp was allocated by the Garissa county government.
