Cathay staffers were seen heads down outside Cathay's headquarters. The morale of Cathay staffers is sinking low as more staffers receive notifications of layoffs today, but it is not all good news for those who survive the cut. Staff were seen entering Cathay Pacific City, the headquarters of Cathay Pacific, as usual this morning, with their smiles buried deep. Cathay Pacific Airways announced yesterday that it will eliminate about 8,500 jobs across the group, including laying off 5,300 staff in Hong Kong. All Cathay Dragon staff will be dismissed as the sister airline is axed.
