Delicious magazine has compiled a list of the best places to get the ultimate coastal staple dish, and two places in Aldeburgh have been included. The Aldeburgh Fish and Chip shop and the Golden Galleon got the nod from the lifestyle magazine. "It’s more a case of choose your queue… The Golden Galleon has a sit-in restaurant, ‘The Upper Deck’, while Aldeburgh Fish & Chips is takeaway only." They are no stranger to national recognition after being named among the UK's best by The Times earlier this year. While the frying technology has been updated since opening, the recipe has remained the same and chips are still fried the traditional way in beef dripping.
