The new edifice, which is located at Akatsi-Tatorme, was inaugurated with a lot of fanfare as some NDC party faithful praised Mr Djikunu, a legal practitioner, for his initiative. His supporters also joined him in a procession that brought commercial activities in the Akatsi Township to a standstill. Lawyer Djikunu filed to contest Edward Doe Adjaho, current speaker of parliament, during the primaries of the NDC prior to the 2012 elections. He saw the ruling NDC leaders in Akatsi South as being selective, greedy and selfish, saying they don’t have the constituents at heart but their personal interests alone.
