MANILA, Philippines — Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II has ordered the National Bureau of Investigation to probe the killing of a woman and her child last December 11. Aguirre issued Department Order 797 that authorizes the NBI to "conduct a case build up over the death of Ruby Gamos and her seven year old daughter Shaniah Nicole Gamos." The mother and daughter were found dead in their home in General Trias, Cavite. Ruby's husband, Marlon, arrived in the country on December 12 and sought the government's help to receive justice for the death of his wife and daughter. He asked his relatives to check on his wife and daughter after he failed to communicate with them on Friday.
