After yoga, Yogi pushes Mataram

(PTI)Lucknow, April 8: Yogi Adityanath today said that nobody should have any problems singing Vande Mataram. "We are taking India into the 21st century but some people are busy opposing the national song and saying they won't sing Vande Mataram," the chief minister said at a book release at the Raj Bhavan. A senior BJP politician, seeking anonymity, explained: " Vande Mataram and yoga are mandatory in the school at the Gorakhnath Math, headed by the chief minister. Dhan Singh Rawat, cooperative minister in the BJP government in neighbouring Uttarakhand, announced two days ago that those "who want to live in Uttarakhand must sing Vande Mataram". Harish Rawat, former Congress chief minister of Uttarakhand, has accused the state government of trying to ostracise the minority community.
