After the Ethiopian Airlines crash on Sunday, one man who lost his wife, daughter and three grandchildren said he would one day question God why his loved ones had to go. His pain was so intense he was unable to question God at that moment, but he said his creator would have to explain it at the end of time. Geoffrey Kioko, a clinical psychologist and grief recovery trainer, says you may experience all kinds of difficult and unexpected emotions, from shock or anger to disbelief, guilt and profound sadness. The pain of grief can also disrupt your physical health, making it difficult to sleep, eat, or even think straight. Sometimes those crying are whisked away from public view as if it’s shameful.
