The Vancouver Canucks don’t do holidays well. They’re in nearly every game, competing for a playoff spot, while transitioning toward younger, faster players. “As our young players are learning to play in the NHL, we want them to be competitive and we want to be competitive as a team. “We want to be playing competitive games in March and April so our young players learn what it takes to fight for a playoff spot and, hopefully, earn a playoff spot.
