KUCHING: Sarawak has now barred convicted serial rapist Selva Kumar Subbiah from entering the state. It became the second state after Sabah to impose the ban following the man's return to Malaysia from Canada on Tuesday. State Immigration Department director Ken Leben confirmed that the ban will be imposed on Selva Kumar. "The department has received a directive from the state authority to bar him from entering Sarawak," he told the New Straits Times this morning. As for Sabah, it was reported yesterday that the directive to the Sabah Immigration Department was to be enforced immediately, as Selva is considered a high risk individual.
