No sooner had the Prime Minister announced that a General Election will be held on July 4 than the SNP were dubbing it “Independence Day”. It was partly a nod to our American cousins – but mainly a reminder of their relentless election message. It’s the chance to see the back of the SNP, whose obsession with independence has done so much damage to Scotland over the past 17 years. It's that the SNP’s all-consuming separatism mania has taken their eye off the ball on almost every aspect of government. In key seats up and down the country, only the Scottish Conservatives can see the back of them and their independence obsession.
