The adventurer Sir Peter Hutchinson left £1million to his 'murderous' wife in a will that was drawn up two months after the alleged attack, a new report has revealed. In October 2018 his wife lady Virginia was accused of attempting to murder him using petrol and he was treated in hospital for minor injuries. Sir Peter instructed that the remainder of his estate should be left to the couple's only child, Sir James Colville Hutchison, 52. The will was written on December 27, 2018, 24 days before Sir Peter died in Forth Valley Royal Hospital in Larbert, Stirlingshire. During his life Sir Peter went on several expeditions in Turkey, China and the Himalayas in search of rare plants, mostly rhododendrons.
