The British Beer and Pub Association has written to Prime Minister Boris Johnson calling on his Government to take urgent action to prevent mass job losses and permanent pub closures. Elderly people and those with conditions rendering them vulnerable to the virus may have to stay at home for four months. "You should avoid pubs, clubs, theatres and other such social venues," he added. She added: "PM must urgently clarify theatres, music venues and other cultural institutions affected by his statement can claim insurance."
