Aston Villa and Boro were yet to agree terms for the player but his representatives had begun to discuss personal terms for the player. However, Adomah – whose current deal is due to expire next summer – decided against the switch having spent his entire career in the lower tiers of English football. The 28-year-old has featured for teams such as Bristol City, Barnet and Harrow Borough playing semi-professional football with Isthmian League Premier Division. The Ghana international turned down Boro’s offer of a new three-year deal because the offer was below his expectations.
