The police posted on their Facebook today, saying they have deployed adequate police forces to enforce the law resolutely in view of netizens calling for unauthorized assemblies on Christmas Eve. The police wrote on their social media that they are aware that some netizens incited others to take part in unauthorized assemblies in various districts across the territory today. “We would like to remind the public that no Letter of No Objection has ever been issued for the proposed public events,” the post wrote. The force also urged members of the public to refrain from group gatherings preventing transmission of the coronavirus in the community.
