Ruangkrai: Wants EC to probe SenateA group of 21 senators are planning to sue Ruangkrai Leekitwattana, a former member of the dissolved Thai Raksa Chart Party, for filing false complaints against them. The plan was revealed following Mr Ruangkrai's move on Monday last week, when he petitioned the Election Commission (EC) to probe 21 senators over alleged breaches of the charter's rule on shareholdings in media companies. Senator Wanchai Sornsiri, who is among the accused, yesterday insisted that he satisfied all the legal requirements for senators, and pledged to file a lawsuit against Mr Ruangkrai. "Other senators accused by Mr Ruangkrai also said they did not violate media shareholding regulations, and they also plan to sue Mr Ruangkrai," Mr Wanchai said, adding that the senators will wait for the EC's probe results before proceeding to file the lawsuits. The petition lodged by the pro-regime MPs targeted 21 FFP MPs, four MPs each from the Pheu Thai Party and the Puea Chat Party, three MPs of the Seri Ruam Thai Party, and one from the Prachachat Party.
