An internationally acclaimed artist and author is among the contributors to an event which will see an ‘unforgettable’ herd of decorated elephant sculptures take to the streets of Maidenhead, Windsor and Slough. Trunks across the Thames, a Wild in Art event from Thames Hospice, will take place between Monday, July 13 and Sunday, September 13. The free public art trail aims to ‘capture hearts, spark conversation’, and raise awareness and funds for Thames Hospice. Charlie said: “I’ve discovered Thames Hospice plays such a compassionate and vital part of many lives, giving dignified end-of-life care to patients and their families so they never feel alone. “Trunks across the Thames will raise vital funds, but just as importantly, it will raise awareness, break down taboos, and show that hospice care is here for everyone, at every stage of life’s journey.
