Regional News of Monday, 6 April 2026Source: www.ghanaweb.comThe Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has brought relief to dozens of families in his constituency by settling the medical bills of 85 patients receiving treatment at various health facilities. The intervention, which he described as part of the Easter spirit, has lifted a heavy burden off patients and their relatives, many of whom were struggling to pay for care. According to a report on adomonline.com, the beneficiaries are receiving treatment at facilities including Battor Catholic Hospital, St Anne’s Polyclinic at Tagadzi, Juapong Health Centre, VRA Hospital in Akosombo, Fodzoku Health Centre, Mafi Dedukope Health Centre, Mafi Adidome Health Centre, and Podoe Health Centre. Beyond the immediate support, Ablakwa also revealed that efforts are underway to strengthen healthcare delivery in the area. He disclosed that, in partnership with other stakeholders, two new hospitals are currently being constructed in the constituency to improve access to quality medical care.
