England crashed out of the European Under-21 Championship on Friday with a 4-2 loss to Romania. Wan-Bissaka started the first game of the tournament against France, where he scored an own goal, but was dropped for the Romania clash. Manchester United have had a bid £50million rejected for the Crystal Palace right-back but are keen to get a deal done. Before the Romania game, Boothroyd said on Wan-Bissaka: “When that speculation is flying around it is bound to turn your head.”
