The story of Aaron Sanchez’s season has taken many twists and turns, with still a few bends in the road to come. Four months and 21 starts into the 2016 season, Sanchez was not just the best starting pitcher on his team but perhaps as good as any starting pitcher in the American League. To manage Sanchez’s innings, the club would go with a six-man rotation. Within the loose confines of the six-man rotation, he would have four more starts. At that point, the question has to be asked if Sanchez would then still be available if the Jays make the playoffs.
