APUGBC flayed for taking up works without informing RMC


more-inMayor Pantham Rajani Sesha Sai has taken exception to taking up of development of Kambala tank park by AP Urban Greenery and Beautification Corporation (APUGBC) without informing Rajamahendravaram Municipal Corporation (RMC). Addressing the media here on Saturday, she said officials of APUGBC who visited Kambala tank have not met her or the Commissioner regarding beautification of tank and they were not aware of launching of works on Nov. 27. “I will see how the works will be started without the knowledge of Mayor or the Commissioner,” she said while reacting to media reports that the APUGBC officials have met GUDA Chairman Ganni Krishna and finalised the date for starting the works. Reacting to remarks on functioning of the standing committees, the Mayor said without standing committees there is no development in the city and listed different works approved by the committee in the last four years. She said the first standing committee in 2014 approved ₹ 31.71 crore works, second committee ₹ 22.89 crore works, third committee approved ₹ 35.82 works and the present committee approved ₹ 5.15 crore works till now.
