All Progressives Congress supporters in Oyo State, on Thursday, teamed up with the state sanitary officers to clean the streets in a show of solidarity with the governorship candidate of the party, Adebayo Adelabu. The 200-man cleaning team, led by Mrs. Fatimah Hassan, revealed that they were interested in partnering with the government in ensuring that the city was clean. The cleaning was carried out as part of the Oyo State Sanitation Challenge, which involved youths cleaning their immediate environments, schools, markets, communities and general streets in the state. The cleaning team covered the five geo-political zones of the state; Ibadan, Ibarapa, Oke Ogun, Ogbomosho and Oyo. The challenge required members of each zone to clean up their communities and engage community members on the various benefits of a cleaner environment.
