Superintendent of Police Md Barkatullah Khan said that police recovered the body of 38-year-old Joynal Ahmed on Tuesday morning from Jahangirnagar Union’s Dholaipar area. Joynal was the Awami League’s general secretary for the Jahangirnagar Union unit. Muksed Ali, president of Awami League’s Jahangirnagar Union wing, said the locals informed him after discovering the body of Joynal lying next to a school in the village. The police officer said the three detained suspects were being interrogated at the police station. The body has been sent to the Sunamganj Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
