The office of the Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF) has charged a lawyer, Emmanuel Omattah before the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) for allegedly biting off the index finger of his ex-lover, Elsie Imaikop. Omattah, a resident of Shagari Dei Dei, Abuja, is being prosecuted on an eight-count charge bordering on assault, causing grievous hurt, intimidation and deceit. He was reported to have assaulted his estranged lover by beating her, tearing her clothes and damaging her Toyota Camry car. According to Imaikop, after she reported the issue to the pastor, Omattah came to her house with a cutlass and threatened to kill her. She informed that the defendant bite her index finger when they engaged in a tussle in a bid to defend herself.
