The Oyo governor is widely believed to be nursing a presidential ambition and is positioning himself for the PDP’s 2027 presidential ticket. Thursday’s meeting marked his first known encounter with President Tinubu since his official defection. President Tinubu has in recent months held a series of engagements with governors across party lines.
