Senegal on Sunday, January 18, 2026, were crowned Champions of Africa for the second time in history after beating host nation Morocco 1-0 at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat. President of Senegal, Bassirou Diomaye Faye received the players, the entire technical team and officials at the Presidential Palace to thank them for their services and putting smiles on the faces of the Senegalese people with their victory. The players, clad in traditional white kaftans thanked the President and the Senegalese people for their support throughout the tournament in Morocco. Senegal have now joined the list of countries that have won the Africa Cup of Nations more than once.
