(AEV) is planning to raise P30 billion from the fixed-rate peso-denominated retail bonds it will release this year. The bonds would be registered under a shelf registration program and listed on the Philippine Dealing Exchange this year. “AEV will use the proceeds of the bonds to finance planned acquisitions, future investments and other general corporate requirements,” the company said. AEV is also eyeing more projects for its food and power businesses in Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia and Myanmar, details of which were not divulged. The holding firm’s units include Aboitiz Power Corp., Union Bank of the Philippines, Pilmico Foods Corp., Aboitiz InfraCapital Inc. and Aboitiz Land Inc.Shares of AEV ended flat at P64 on Wednesday.
