“ACC Assistant Director Saiduzzaman filed the cases with the anti-graft watchdog's Integrated District Office 1 in Dhaka on Monday,” ACC spokesperson Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya told Dhaka Tribune. The commission filed the cases against them under Section 26 (2) of the ACC Act 2004. They have not submitted their wealth statement either to the commission in compliance with the ACC order, it said. Earlier on July 23, ACC had issued a letter to Ishtiaq and his wife seeking their wealth statement. According to ACC sources, Ishtiaq is a transport businessman though he runs illegal drug trading.
