Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has asked the Department of Narcotic Control (DNC) to submit the list of top smugglers in Bangladesh within a month. ACC Chairman Iqbal Mahmood gave the ultimatum in a seminar held at Bangladesh Institute of Administration and Management Auditorium in Dhaka Sunday afternoon. He said actions will be taken against DNC if it fails to submit the list within the mentioned time frame. A DNC source said a few months ago it submitted a list of 4,000 smugglers to the ACC which shortlisted 365, and proceeded to investigate 17 top drug smugglers. However, the commission asked DNC to update and submit the list again as the previous one did not have the addresses of the smugglers.
