AAII Sentiment Survey: Bull-Bear Spread Tightest In Six Months


This change has now pushed the bull-bear spread (bullish sentiment minus bearish sentiment) to 0.7%, its tightest range since August 24, 2016. Bullish sentiment, expectations that stock prices will rise over the next six months, fell 2.7 percentage points to 33.1%. Neutral sentiment, expectations that stock prices will stay essentially unchanged over the next six months, fell 2.0 percentage points to 34.5%. Bearish sentiment, expectations that stock prices will fall over the next six months, rose 4.7 percentage points to 32.4%. Over the same period, neutral sentiment and bearish sentiment have risen by 5.9 and 7.2 percentage points, respectively.
