The two-vehicle smash happened on the remote A465 Heads of the Valleys Road near Merthyr Tydfil, south Wales. Welsh Ambulance Service has confirmed two people died. A South Wales Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said four crews attended the scene. Cynon Valley AM Vikki Howells said on Twitter: “My thoughts are with all those involved in this serious accident.”The road, which runs southwest to Neath near Swansea, remains closed. South Wales Police said they are in attendance.
