In December 15, Canelo Alvarez won the World Boxing Association (WBA) super middleweight (168 pounds) crown by knocking out Rocky Fielding. A rematch between Eleider and Kovalev has been set on February 2. In his first championship bout at super middleweight, Canelo somehow demonstrated he could take on the bigger guys in the division that is currently teeming with talent. The Mexican fighter is 28 years old and seems to be peaking at this point so he can possibly bring hell to the super middleweight division.
