A love for animals led them to be vets. High stress levels make it tough to stay

Dr. Enid Stiles says the job of veterinarian involves higher levels of stress and burnout than most people might think. In fact, the Canadian Veterinary Medical Association is raising concerns about high levels of stress and burnout in the profession. "But what I think people don't realize is that we really do have a high level of stress in our profession." And that is a really, really difficult thing." Stiles recommends dissatisfied clients find a way to communicate with vets privately and not in a public way that would cause even more stress.
