It has been more than 30 years since the current King last visited the streets of Braintree. Photographs unearthed by the Times have shown King Charles III’s visit to the area in 1991. Formerly the Prince of Wales, King Charles assumed the role of monarch following his mother’s sad death last Thursday. Firstly, the King visited the historic pavements of Bradford Street in Bocking, paying a visit to the Grade II listed Georgian House. Black and white pictures also show the then Prince visiting Stoke by Nayland and further photos show him visiting Cressing Temple Barns.
