New daily cases counts in the London area remain low as the school year approaches but it's interesting to see the big picture. In the last week, there have been 11 new cases reported by the Middlesex-London Health Unit (MLHU), with five of those from the same family. Cases by municipalityLondon, which boasts the largest population of all municipalities in the region, has the highest number of reported cases at 668. COVID-19 across the region and beyondSouthwestern Public Health, which covers St. Thomas, Woodstock, and Elgin and Oxford counties, reported one new case of COVID-19 Tuesday. The health unit also reported a new death, a man in his 60s who lived in a retirement home.
