A case in point is the Australian cricket team. I am sure most would agree that of all the cricket teams out there, the Australians are probably the least loved. What the current mess also points to is that leadership is the first casualty of a toxic culture. Once the toxic culture takes root and thrives, organisational values decline and eventually lead to a leadership crisis. Leaving one of the main champions of the current culture is hardly going to serve the cause of the Australian team.
