Federal Judge Sandra Arroyo Salgado, the mother of late prosecutor Alberto Nisman’s daughters, joined the petition that was published in numerous news outlets calling for the ouster of Federal Judge Daniel Rafecas. But she’s also a judge and she should know better than anyone that if we followed the law to a tee, the petition would actually be going against republican ideals. After all, the country has an actual organization devoted with the very task of impeaching judges: the Council of Magistrates. And that’s what the judge considered when he decided to dismiss Nisman’s accusation. A request that Rafecas had already dismissed on August 5.
