In fact, iron deficiency is not only the most common nutritional disorder in the world, but it affects women and children in both developed and developing countries, though it’s the most severe among those living in poverty. His aim: to study strategies for combating iron deficiency and ultimately build a company around his findings. His solution: 200 grams of iron in the shape of a fish called, appropriately enough, Lucky Iron Fish. Then, as long as you’ve washed the thing with soap and water before each use and cook it for long enough, that yucky iron taste will disappear.
