And so, obviously, I've sunk myself into the Destiny 2 beta, out now on Xbox One and PS4. The game starts you with a cinematic, already more engaging than anything vanilla Destiny managed. It looks better than Destiny, but in those first few moments, you remember that this is eminently Destiny. Destiny 2 isn't burdened by the Xbox 360 and PS3 like vanilla Destiny was, and it shows. Vanilla Destiny struggled with scale throughout its runtime, and the epic notion of its story line suffered because of it.
