A success rate of 99.89 per cent was reported as the Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) announced the results of general science intermediate part-II on Friday. According to BIEK chairperson Professor Inam Ahmed, as many as 4,757 students had registered for the exam and of them, 4,752 students have been successful. He said that none of the students had been awarded any positions, in line with the government marking policy introduced in the wake of coronavirus outbreak. It is to be noted that this year, students have been awarded marks according to the policy defined by the government, keeping in view the Covid-19 outbreak, and were not required to sit exams. Students registered for part-II exams had been awarded marks on the basis of part-I results, with a three per cent increase.
